Welcome to the Tyee Middle School Counseling Department!

Tyee currently has 3 full-time school counselors who work with an alphabetical caseload distribution. This allows counselors to establish long-lasting relationships with families throughout their students’ middle school education. School Counselors support students with academic planning, social/emotional wellness, and make community referrals.

Students: Students are welcome to visit the Counseling Center for walk-in appointments every day during lunches for quick questions. We encourage students to fill out a request slip (located by the attendance office) to make an appointment with their school counselor or send them an email if they would like to make a longer appointment.

Parents/Guardians: We welcome the opportunity to meet with parents/guardians of our students to discuss concerns or answer any questions you may have in support of your student(s). Given that our schedules are often unpredictable, we do require you to schedule an appointment in advance. Please contact your student’s counselor directly to schedule an appointment.
